What a great dinner tonight at La Luncheonette! We both
started with escargot, which was served with wild
mushrooms in a tasty, garlicky sauce. I ate civet de
lapin for my main course, which just blew me away --
the dark, rich sauce was a perfect counterpoint to the
tender, flaky meat. My friend ate roast rack of lamb,
also very tasty; and we drank a bottle of (I think)
Venezuelan red wine.
