I'm planning a trip to NY again this MDW. I'd like to do 2-3 really nice meals while I'm there, and was hoping to get some insight. I'd like to try places I've not been before so no babbo, jean georges, wd-50, jewel bakko or public. Some possibilities I've heard were Daniel, Bouley, Alain Ducasse, Pastis, 71 clinton, hearth, Modern at MOMA, Bouley, Landmarc. Or anything you'd like to suggest. I'd like one of the meals to be more traditional and the other to be more experimental. Any help would be mucho appreciated.
I'd also like to experience authentic cheap eats places like Katz (last time i ended up at carnergie deli), plus i want to go back to grimaldi's (so convenient after walking the bridge), maybe another goood example of NY pizza too, maybe a great hot dog, definitely some good bagels (there was one right off the 6 train i think around 59th or 51st?) anything else you can recommend as well would be great. many thanks!
