La Flor Bakery - am I the only person that dislikes it?

i just got back from eating breakfast at la flor bakery at woodside. this is my 3rd trip to the place over the last year. i really want to like this place, i really do. it's a cute, neighborhood spot that is a refreshing part of that area.

however, there's always something not quite right each time i go there.

the first time for dinner, i took note that i should order strictly off the dinner specials menu, which i did. we ordered lamb and some steak dish. both were average, nothing special. of course, the hot chocolate was wonderful, but that was the only saving grace.

i then went back for breakfast and ordered the pastry basket - the entire pastry basket was half charred. i was appalled they even tried to serve it to us - it was literally blackened bread!

this morning we ordered the scrambled eggs, chorizo, tortilla chips and i went safe by ordering the irish breakfast (eggs, toast, homefries). however, the toast was crumbly and cold. the coffee - atrocious. it tasted like flavored water.

needless to say, i will no longer patronize la flor bakery. am i the only one that feels this way? i have to say, i like angie's kitchen around the corner so much better. better quality food, even if the atmosphere is not as homely as la flor.
