Quick report on LCN: We went there last night after a Sippin at the Savvy (Gourmet) session. The place was hopping, but for a table for two it was a 30 minute wait.
The highlight was the cheese fondue: Gruyère, Emmenthaler, and Jarlsberg.
The low point was the crêpe special, coq au vin. It more like tender chicken with gravy.
The moules marinieres, large bowl of mussels, came in a bland broth, which did disappoint.
The ambiance was lovely, the service was very good. I look forward to going back for another fondue on these cold evenings and a good desert crêpe.
Oh, and it looks like they are serving the cheese from St. James cheese store, the new shop open on Prytania around the corner. In fact, the maître d' walked to the shop to call a table of four, which I thought was a nice show of local support for the new business.
