I had read about La Choza on this board, and so tonight we went (we're from out of town). At first, I was like, oh my god, because it was so loud! The head waiter, Jimmy apologized to us for the noise. Then they served us our drinks, and it was still ridiculously loud and I kept wanting to stand up and say, "Okay, use your inside voice people!" to the giant table nearby. (In general, restaurant events where 13 people are seated at a table screaming at one another seem like a bad idea to me, and not much fun to boot.) Anyway, within a couple of minutes the headwaiter returned and asked us if we would like to be moved to a more quiet area before our food came. And he helped us to move tables! It was sooo much better and after that the service was really good, the food was good, and the whole experience made my sisters happy. Thanks for a great recommendation, and thanks to Jimmy the Headwaiter for being so attentive!
