LA Chowhound seeking advice on WD-50

Three of us from LA will have a Sunday night meal (May 16) at WD-50. I was influenced by a) Wylie Dufresne's participation in the UK foodie's conference and its write-up in NYT, and b) high praise on this board.

I am thinking of ordering the 7 course tasting menu w/o the wine pairing (ordering perhaps the fabulous drinks - rather than paying 45x3 for the 3 of us).

Has anyone recently had their tasting menu? If so, does it contain his outstanding dishes like foie gras with anchovies, flattened oysters, pork belly, etc. Perhaps we should just sit back and let our brains do the walking that night? (One in the party works on neural correlates of consciousness - or how the brain pays attention and how it also acts in zombie fashion 95% of the time)
