LA Chowhoud seeks steak in the east bay

Dorothy | Jan 17, 200410:08 PM     9

I will be in San Ramon on business for the next week and would like to take myself out for a good steak one night. I prefer not to trek all the way into the city.

I prefer a place with prime or at least choice beef. I'm willing to pay what it costs -- I'm thinking of a place similar to The Palm, Ruth's Chris, Mastros, Smith & Wollensky's, et.al.

I had a good steak several years ago in Walnut Creek, but cannot remember the name of the place. I'm remembering some sort of railroad-car theme to the place? Does anyone know what restaurant I'm talking about and whether it's still there?

Otherwise, I ask for your recommendations -- preferably in the Dublin/San Ramon/Walnut Creek/680 corridor.

Many thanks for your kindness.
