La casa del pollo peruano mini-review

So I went to La casa del pollo peruano on 82th St. JH for the first time Saturday. Ordered the 1/2 chicken with the rice/beans the the giblets.

The chicken was just average. under-seasoned, and dry. The rice and beans were good and so was the green sauce (a bit chunky). But I rather still go to Pio Pio. Pio Pio's chicken is way better. There is no comparison.

The giblets was very good. I didn't know what to expect before I ordered but they were delicious. It was served with 1/2 a baked potato and a variety of corn where the size of each niblet was the size of a nickel. The corn was starchy though. I perfer corn that is more on the crispy side.

I think I will try Mario's next to see how their chicken fares.
