La Carne.... IN BROOKLYN??

iceberg | Feb 20, 200807:46 PM

There is a rumor floating around that David Allaham, the owner of La Carne (and the brother of the owner of Prime Grill/Solo) will be taking over the Bar-Muda space on Coney Island and Avenue M to open up a Brooklyn steakhouse, possibly a second La Carne.

In other news, Grille De Paris on Kings Highway now seems to be closed for good, and there appears to be an official marshall's seizure notice plastered on the front door. The food was good, yet pricey and they didn't seem to find their niche. The particular retail location seems to be cursed (and that goes for the former Nathan's space across the street too!) because so many kosher dining establishments have tried their luck there over the years and didn't make it.
