Stopped by La Arepa and picked up their "special" arepa - beef, black beans, cheese, avocado, on a corn bread/tortilla thing. It was delicious and cheap! Plus I liked the modest but homey touches on the decor of the restaurant. Simple but nice. Their menu is actually pretty extensive, with lots of different Venezulean (sp?) dishes. I hope to make it back for dinner some night and get a full meal. No liquor license, though. Looks like this place will fill my Brazilian need until I find a good place - as a lot of the items look similar (fried plaintains, black beans, etc.).
Oh ya, and also stopped by Hartley's Pork Pie's around the corner from La Arepa and picked up a 6 pack of baked goodness.
