Kyoto - help with kaiseki meal

suzette82 | Nov 2, 201709:33 PM     3

Hi everyone!

Since I didn't get any responses to my Osaka post asking for ideas, I'm narrowing it down to one kaiseki dinner in Kyoto. We've tried and failed to get a reservation at Gion Nishikawa which we enjoyed very much. Any other suggestions?

We like modern kaiseki with a unique flair. Traditional kaiseki like Kikunoi, we've tried several times in Tokyo and Kyoto already.

Some options I found:
Ifuki
Gion Maruyama
Matayoshi
Wakuden

We're only in Kyoto for the day, so can't venture too far from the train station back to Osaka. Any great lunch recommendations also very welcome.

Thank you CHers!
