Making an effort to try more restaurants I haven't heard of before here or elsewhere. Was driving through San Bruno and there was a parking place in front of Kuya's and it was dinner time. The menu's Filipino and I don't know much about Filipino food.
A lot of noodle and rice dishes and all the protein catagories. I wasn't that hungry so I just ordered the Kuya Noodle Soup. It was huge and filled with beef, fish cake, a few shrimp and krab and lots of ever so slightly mushy noodles. Pretty good though. the broth was very flavorful and the soup was topped with a nice sprinkling of fried garlic.
The decor was nice (kind of a fixed up diner vibe). All the other customers had what looked like dry fried spareribs of some sort. I wish I'd gotten a takeout menu to refer to later for exact dishes.
Anyone been? What's good? Seems like there's some potential here.
