Kung Pao Kitty

lil mikey | Mar 25, 2004 02:30 PM

The first time we ate at Kung Pao Kitty, I loved the Kung Pao chicken, and the other stuff was pretty good, too. They had just opened the newly decorated restaurant, and the menu was abbreviated. We liked it very much so we tried it again last night.

The menu is much longer, with fish and other dishes. Unfortunately, the Kung Pao chicken was nothing like I remembered or was expecting. The waitress said there is a new chef. This disclosure did not bring back the old dish. The chicken didn’t have the burst of flavor, and the whole dish just tasted bland.

The fish was okay. I’m partial to the soy and ginger sauce they put over it, and the fish tasted pretty fresh.

It’s too bad about the Kung Pao chicken. I think they were onto something. Now there's really no reason to go back. I can get fish all over town.
