When I lived in California, Kung Pao (spelling used there) chicken or shrimp was my favorite dish at Chinese restaurants. I can't find it here! My local Chinese restaurants (Master Wok, Number 1 Garden) don't have it on the menu. I haven't found it in the (admittedly few) places I've been in Manhattan either, except - for Ollie's at 116th St. They actually have Kung Pao Delight (scallops AND shrimp AND chicken AND beef) and it's pretty good. But that's a real schlep. Someone told me I should be looking for "Gung Bo" here? So - any suggestions as to where I can find this? (it's a tomatoey sauce with peanuts, bell peppers, water chestnuts, a bit on the sweet side).
