I have a tree loaded with fruit a few steps from my door. Have been looking online and mention is made of the "sweet sour" taste of kumquats and that the skins are sweeter than the flesh. Tasting them tells me the sour predominates as regards the fruit on this particular tree. Nonetheless, I am determined to do something with these kumquats. I don't really want to start into marmalade, canning projects. I love fruit with meat/poultry, and would consider a dessert using kumquats. Any ideas?
