Had the pleasure of attending the soft opening for dinner last night at Kujaku (formerly Peacock on the Parkway). This is the owners of Uzu (in Old City) newest creation. Our party ordered a variety of dishes to try from chicken caesar salad and lobster bisque as starters to a mixed plate of sushi/sashimi, a lobster/shrimp tempora salad, butterfish over sauted spinach, osterich, as well as scallops over a garlic mash. The ended dinner with an assortment of sorbets. The food was excellent. The restuarant is still in a transition phase since they just opened their doors last week. Since they have not recieved their liquor license yet (hence the empty bar), Kujaku is BYO for the next few months (which is always appreciated). I spoke with the owners (Chef Bo and Maurice) and they mentioned that this week (Feb 11-17th), anyone who calls ahead and makes reservations will receive 20% off their total bill. Could be a nice spot to try for Valentines with a few bottles of wine. We had no trouble parking since it was Sunday night but there is also a parking garage directly next door. They also have an extensive lunch menu, with sushi, sandwiches, salads, wraps and kobe burgers.
