The crack reporting and photography team is hard at work on creating the official report of last Saturdays The Hundred Hound Picnic in Golden Gate Park. In the meantime, heres the list of the winning entries in the food contest.

PRIZES for the winners included
- Books from the Imponderables series, autographed and donated by author (and fellow hound) Dave Feldman.
- Meyer lemon thyme marmelade (last year's best in show winner) and preserved heirloom tomatoes, made by committee members, Ruth Lafler and Rochelle Pssst, with donations of materials and talent from Rochelle Foles.
- The best discovery and best in show winners also received, respectively, a notebook and note cards donated by Jennifer chowfish.
Congratulations to the winners and a big thanks to the donors for making their moment of glory that much sweeter! Of course, the real winners in this friendly food competition were all of us in attendance who had the privilege of tasting all the delicious dishes and voting for our favorites.
The days festivities were organized by The Picnic Hounds. This hard-working (and even harder eating) core committee planned and executed the days events ably assisted by chowhound volunteers. We would like to acknowledge the following team leaders for their service many thanks to you all.
We are especially grateful to Chairwoman Rochelle Pssst McCune for her incredible organizational skills, fanatical focus and inspiring leadership, and for extending her term through next year. We cant wait.
