I had a date last night and took her to West 50, a bar at Burnhamthorpe & Hurontario which boasts 108 types of beer on tap..
Unfortunately, the night was full of several disappointments (beer wise, not romance wise heheh), including the Denisons, which I was hoping would fare better than my canned version of the beer. Unless their kegs are suffering from the same problem (which I'm told they don't) then it must just be something with my tastebuds because I don't really find it that enjoyable and still can taste the "wine flavor" I referred to in my original beef with their canned product. They also were out of at least 4 varities of beer I tried to order, or were unacceptable and pouring foam... Including Paulaner :(
But anyways, the one standout of the night was Kronenberg Blanc. It's the most banana-ish fruity-ish white beer I think I've ever had, but a delicious and not overpowering amount. I've seen Kronenberg countless times at the LCBO but never even know they had a Blanc version.
My question is; is this one of these beers thats only available in kegs? I sure hope not, because it was delicious and I would really like to get my hands on some in the GTA.
If anyone has any knowledge about this beer, I am all ears!
