We made Korean bbq pigs of ourselves tonight at Koryo on Telegraph in Oakland. I mean we had 1 order of bul kogi and one order of kal bi with all the usual side dishes. Then we ordered those devine scallion pancakes and dipping sauce filled with sliced scallions and sesame seeds. As we were being rolled back to our car by two passers-by we again noticed the place across the street. It's another Korean restaurant that looks tres chic...just down from Kaspars shuttered store where Shattuck deadends into Tele. It's on Tele.
Anybody know anything about it? The sign seems to be entirely in Korean so I can't make out what it's called.
Another question. There was a really good and interesting pickle on our table at Koryo today. It was very dark greenish-brown and came in 2 shapes: one was small square slices and the other was shaped like a club from a deck of cards - but a slice. I figure the slice was some type of radish, but the scalloped one????
