toe bang (6th and alexandria)
the food is pretty good, it's like a drinking snacking place that's just really asian rustic (like an asian farmhouse of sorts). so you can get a booth, chill with a bottle of soju and various snacky items. their regular menu is pretty good too. specifically, they have a deep dish version of the seafood pancake (panjun?) you normally see. it comes in a half-inch deep iron dish that i presume it's cooked in and this thing is pretty spectacular. it's green onions, squid and other unrecognizable seafood cooked in a mung bean (i'm guessing) base. served with a flavored soy sauce. pretty good stuff.
ps. if you're ever at cafe bleu, try the kimchee pancake there too.
pps. both spots have a large number of smokers, so if that bothers you, don't go.
