Korean Restaurant In Philly

Dear Gabriel and Katie,
Sorry to take so long to respond about Korean food. This a fabulous cusuine which is becoming very popular. Korean food offers great flavors and tends to be healthier than other asian foods...less oil, etc.

Living in the burbs, my choices are limited but when I am in Northeast Philly I go to Sam Won Garden at 6600 Castor Avenue. I have tried the Korean Barbeque, seafood hot pot, scallion pancakes. Try the BiBamBop if you are health conscious. I think the food here is very good.

Be aware, that your Korean hosts are very generous. They will present you with a variety of foods that you did not order. These will arrive before your other courses. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is that adventurous item you ordered. The first time I ate at a Korean restaurant I thought these appetizers were my dinner. That shows how little I understood what I had ordered. Enjoy, Chef Stefano
