...may be at your home.
Over the years I've read several "Best Korean in Boston" posts and have tried many of them - Koreana in Cambridge, New Jang Su in Burlington - only to leave in disappointment due to both the taste and value. I freely admit this disappointment is probably a result of being introduced to Korean cuisine in Los Angeles' excellent Koreatown.
Imagine my surprise to find Costco selling 2 pounds of fresh galbi (kalbi) for $11.99 yesterday. Kalbi is a popular Korean dish comprised of beef short ribs (cut flanken style) marinated in a mixture of soy, scallion, water, sugar and garlic. Costco's Kalbi is excellent: "choice" grade meat, boneless, well trimmed of fat, and a tasty marinade.
All I can say is "OUTSTANDING"...better than any Kalbi I've had in Boston...I'm heading back to Costco this afternoon to restock.
