Korean BBQ for Valentine's Day

Pan | Feb 8, 2015 09:23 AM

Hi, everyone. My girlfriend and I usually go to Don's Bogam for Valentine's Day. We enjoy that, because it's a no-BS experience - they serve the same food as always, with no upcharge, and the service is pretty much the same, too, though they're a bit slammed, so maybe it's a bit slower but that's OK with us. The only reason I'm slightly hesitating to call them and book a table again is that someone (I forget who) recently reported a bad experience with mediocre food and ridiculous service (e.g., the waiter refused to bring them more freakin lettuce leaves until they had finished all they had). So should I stick with Don's or go somewhere else, and if so, where? And some words of clarification: I like the atmosphere at Don's better than Madangsui, which can be glary, but otherwise, we don't require anything fancier, let alone more expensive, so places like Jungsik are out. I'm also think Flushing is out for that day, and I know this isn't the Outer Boroughs board anyway.

Dons Bogam,
Madangsui,
Jungsik
