Went to Koo about a year ago. Liked the food and atmosphere. Sashimi omakase was quite good (although admittedly not up to the best NYC standards) and planned to return soon. Then got my credit card bill and found I had been charged for my meal three times. I called the issuer, of course, disputed the bill and the two erroneous charges were removed. A bit of a PIA, but I hoped it was an honest mistake of some sort. Nevertheless, I didn't rush back and told myself that next time, I'd pay cash. Well, a year goes by and a few weeks ago my wife wants sushi. We end up at Koo. We again enjoyed the meal, but the omakase outpaced the cash in my wallet, so again paid with a credit card. Just got the bill and, surprise, surprise, the charge for the meal appears twice. Coincidence? Honest mistake? I now doubt it. If you've been and paid by credit card, check your bill carefully. I won't be going back.
