Found: Kolaches in Monterey Area!

luv2cuk | Oct 31, 201108:04 PM     3

This may be old news to some, but having just moved to California, I thought finding a kolache would be out of the question. Imagine my surprise upon walking into the Seaside Valero GAS STATION (!) to find a selection of sausage- and ham-filled kolaches! The dough is the denser variety (which I really like). If you are Czech I am not sure if these would be up to snuff for you or not but for a transplanted Texan...I'll take it! And 2/$2.22 not bad either!
