KOI report

we went early tonight (saturday) and in short its a winner.

first we had the natto rolls ($4). yes they have it and you might get "the nod" when you order it like i did---which to me is important here at least because it shows some of us gaijin are willing to keep it real japanese-style and restauranteers need to know that. it was fine, spouse never had it before and liked it too. i could not eat it all though i was really still too full (hmm i dk why i only had a great DEROBERTIS espresso shake hours earlier).

for mains i had the chirashi bowl ($19) and spouse had the sushi plate. if the tamago is the initial mark of quality as it is supposed to be i sure enjoyed mine. very nice chirashi rice, almost buttery. nice selection of fresh fish. too much for me i could not eat it all. we should have split something instead.

total was $40+ bucks which was great for the quality of food and great service. there was also a carafe special of sake we enjoyed too ($10).

these folks obviously care about their product go give them your business. i cannot wait to go back hungrier next time!
