Koi --- mediocre sushi and poor atmosphere

Had highly unsatisfying meal at Koi. On the positive side they are friendly and clearly trying hard. The sea eel tempura was a little too breaded but the eel was fresh and not overcooked. The fluke sashimi special was decent as well.

Now the bad. The tuna sashimi was mushy and is cut into long, too large, blocks (tasted like it'd been frozen and refrozen countless times). The yellowtail was also old and slimey-tasting.

Atmosphere is uncomfortable. The lighting doesn't work (too bright in some sightlines), greyish dim in others.

We live two blocks away, and we will probably never return.
