I am either misunderstanding something, got totally ripped off or found the buy of the century. My local Costco has packages of Broadleaf "Kobe" Beef burgers, 6 8 oz patties for $5.97, or $1.99 a pound as I figure it. The description says this is Wagyu beef raised in Australia.
I have had Kobe beef only once and it was a minute exhorbitantly priced experience, albeit a pleasant one.
I am grilling these "burgers" up for dinner tonight. Anybody have any experience with these? Do I need to go out and by a case load? $2/lb is a decent price for relatively ordinary ground beef...but for Kobe or Wagyu beef? Tell me what I am missing!
