So, waxing nostalgic over their early married years, on the Lower East Side, or the ABC's back then, my parents tell of sharing a loop of knubblewurst(sp?), a garlicky, dried beef sausage found at delis down there, which, to hear tell, they could polish off by the time they got home...(I come from a line of champion-fressers!)
Is it still around? Anyone heard of it? Where can I find it? I've checked Russian delis in Boston, and they have a pork version that sounds simliar, but it wasn't that, because back then, it would have been from a Kosher deli.
