I'm visiting my daughter and her family in a southwest Minneapolis suburb next week. I'm bringing her a big container of knoephla (nefla) soup from Bismarck ND. Has anyone heard of this soup, and if so, where might one find it in Minneapolis and the burbs. She has not heard of it in the Twin Cities.
For those who may wonder, it's a milk or cream based soup with tiny dumplings, sometimes with small chunks of potatos and sometimes a little celery. It is considered a German food, but may only have originated in America. Of course we have several recipes, but would like to know if it's available in the Minneapolis area.
