At Pomegranate today, there was a sampling of Passover "beer."
Two young gentleman were explaining the product- it's made of honey, similar tasting to a bubbly wine, produced on beer equipment. It looked exactly like beer. They told me it tasted like a cross between wine and beer, and was an old Ethiopian recipe. They had leaned about the process while in Israel, found out how to make it, and are donating part of the proceeds back to Ethiopian Jews.
The bottle had the shape of a curvy wine bottle, was black smoked looking glass.
Looked really interesting!
