I've been fortunate enough to receive a Kitchenaid Architect Series 6qt stand mixer as a gift. I am beyond thrilled about it, but now I'm full of questions. I've never heard of this model before, and it doesn't even seem to be on Kitchenaid's website. It's 6qt, bowl lift style, 575w, and the model number is KP26M1XACS.
As far as I can tell, the Architect's specs are the same as the Pro 600's. I assume there must be some difference, but I can't find any articles about the Architect, let alone a side by side comparison. Does anyone have any information on this?
My main concern is with attachments. The Kitchenaid website lists a 5qt tilt style Architect, which seems to have much less in common with mine than the Pro models, so it seems unlikely that I can assume that attachments listed as compatible with the Architect will necessarily be compatible with mine. Can I assume that attachments that will fit the Pro models will work with mine?
Specifically, I'm interested in the food processor attachment, and this beater blade.
New Metro Design KA-6L Beater Blade for KitchenAid 6-Quart & 5-Plus Mixers, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0015TMI28/...
My follow up question about the beater blade is whether the yellow one is a higher quality than the pictured white one. I didn't see anything in the description to indicate that that's the case, but someone mentioned it in one of the answers.
Finally, and this is more just for fun, I've heard that most KAs will fit vintage attachments. What kind of attachments are no longer made? Any favorites?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide! I hope you're all continuing to enjoy your holiday!
