Cruising through Millbrae last night, we noticed that the new restaurant that took over Seafood Harbor's location was open for business. It's called The Kitchen. The interior is brighter and plainer than in the previous incarnation. Live seafood tanks were well-stocked in the back. At 9pm, there were still several tables with patrons. I didn't recognize any of the staff on the floor.
Take-out menus hadn't been delivered by the printer yet, as the place just opened on Sunday. I grabbed the banquet menus which range from $288 to $488 for tables of 10, and interestingly can be order for slightly more than 1/2 the price for a table of 5. Pretty standard sharks fin soup, crab or lobster, squab or duck, steamed fish, Hong Kong-style stuff.
Hope the Peninsula 'hounds will keep us posted on the place.
