Kitchen-22 -- Report

Went to kitchen-22 last night and had a wonder meal and I will definitely go back. They don't take reservations and we ended up waiting about 45 min for a table, which is not fun given how tight the bar area is. The menu is structured around $25 prix fix with around 4-5 choices per course and all the wines are either $25 or $35. For starters i had a beat salad with a strong blue cheese and toasted walnuts which was very good. my friend had a seafood salad which i wasn't crazy about. for the mains, i had a very tender pork loin which came topped with capers and sundried tomatoes over mashed potatoes. my friend had the roast chicken over a porci mushroom risotto. both mains were great, although i found the risottoe the best part. the deserts were the weak part and i could have done with out. The bill was less than $100 for two including a great bottle of wine, tax and tip.
