Cumin Dusted Ribeye Steak
Hate to say this, but I ordered off the regular menu, so I can't speak to taste (I had a Salad with Beets and Parmesean -$8, and Applewood Bacon Wrapped Monkfish in a Wine Reduction Sauce-$18). Everything looked good as it passed, especially the steak, quite frankly. The First Course portions were small, but the Main Courses looked pretty legitimate.
Service was outstanding. Wine list is a little pricey by the glass. Four Sisters Australian Sauvignon Blanc was $7.95/gl.
I have to say, I don't get to Kinkead's for lunch often. I found the menu to be very geared to colder weather. There were several soups, none of them cold. Virtually every entree came in a broth, on polenta, with hush puppies, etc. -- I don't know, in today's heat, what I would have ordinarily coveted, seemed a little out of place. I had a hard time ordering.
