King Wah Restaurant-Sunnyvale__ Euromart Russian Deli-Palo Alto

Arlene | Jul 15, 200305:13 PM

Tried King Wah Restaurant, 219 E. Washington Ave (@ Sunnyvale Ave) Sunnyvale. 408-245-2647 last Fri 7/11/03 for lunch based on a friend's recommendation. It's a Cantonese restaurant with some Chinese signs on the wall, anyone else been there? Seems very popular w/ local business people, many Asians there. Didn't get a dinner menu-too bad.

He likes the pan-fried noodles w/ meat and some seafood.
I thought it was ok

I had the beef stew over rice
Very tasty beef, very tender w/ lots of rice and good sauce below.

Two for lunch was around $14 (with tax/tip) Would go back if in the area.

after lunch walked to:
C.J. Olson Cherries, 348 W. El Camino Real (near the corner of ECR and Mathilda), Sunnyvale, CA.
cherries looked good, pretty prices $5 a basket.
Bought a 32 Fl oz Cherry Juice and 32 Fl oz Cherry Cider -almost $10 for both. haven't tried them yet

Then walked to WinMart-European food/deli, 833 W. El Camino Real, #1, Sunnyvale
Ben is looking for the best Dark Rye Bread so I found German Rye. He tried it later and said it's ok, but boring and too hard.

His favorite Dark Rye Bread is found at:
Euromart Russian Deli, 3707 El Camino Real #1, Palo Alto. 650-855-9414. Authetic European/Russian food made daily, delivery available, catering for special events.
He says the Russian Rye is soft & little bit crumbly, almost like a cake. very yummmy taste of pumpernickel.
Don't remember the hrs but it closes at 8pm
