I don't know what is happening in KOP, but the eats are getting crazy there.
Now, since the newest breed of restaurants has moved in, I have noticed a disturbing trend: marathon waiting lines!
I wondered, what's so great about the Cheesecake Factory? Can someone tell me because I sure have not figured it out.
Friday, we ventured to Sullivan's for the first time at the urging of some out of town friends. After securing a 930 reservation (what is this, LA?)we arrived early to valet parking and a wonderful jazz band. The bar was crowded and the wait was over 1 1/2 hours. When finally seated, we noticed the $70 appetizer "special." Warning: everything is a la carte. The food was pretty good, nothing too fancy, but the pricing was outrageous. Just a warning, but after eating in "expensive' places in Manhattan an such, that were "as nnice or better," Sullivans proved to me that the $300 dinner was not worth it. On a good note??? The wine list and presentation was worthy of a world class restaurant.
Don't get me started on the other places tonight.
Finally, Michael's Deli is still the neatest little place in that town! Try it.
