I was looking at the King Arthur Baking Companion in a bookstore the other day and it looked interesting. I liked that it gave nutritional info for each recipe and some of the technical advice seemed useful and interesting.
It doesn't look like it has incredibly exciting and original recipes, but looks like a good resource for the basics.
I looked at the reviews on Amazon, most of which were positive, but a couple of which said that the recipes were just terribly written, so I thought I'd come check with my resident experts. Has anyone used the book? What do you think?
And while we're at it, my Amazon search turned up the King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion. Any thoughts on that?
