After reading a brief review in the Inky this morning we tried Kildare's for lunch. Since it is Sunday, they offered a breakfast-heavy brunch menu so my wife and I both ended up ordering the Ale-battered fish sandwich, which was a little greasy. I guess the oil is not very hot at 11:30, but it was pretty well-prepared nonetheless.
Kids ordered chicken fingers and fries from the Kiddie menu, and we split a "Toasty" as a quick app (grilled cheese w/bacon or ham.) Food quality was pretty good, fresh-cut thick fries (and malt vinegar on the table.)
The bill came out to $48 bucks (I had a pint of Guiness). Kind of pricy for a typical quick lunch with the kids, but they did have a live singer/guitarist, so I guess you gotta pay the band. Overall, the regular menu looked pretty interesting, and I'll probably be back if only to sample the wide variety of Irish whiskeys. They have stroes in K of P and West Chester as well. Looks like a great place to get snockered.
