So, I've always laughed at vodka snobs. I think Tito's is an amazing scam, but great marketing. Same with Grey Goose, Ketel One, etc. Still, a very close friend is a vodka-only person. She also worked for a larger spirirt distributor; so she often got first crack at the latest and greatest in vodka. Like I care. :) She forewarned me of the Grey Goose scam and Tito's. Hand made, gluten free... whatever. What vodka isn't gluten free and hand made to a degree?
Enter Blue Ox. Made in Iowa from Iowa corn and like $8 a handle(1.75l). Her previous favorite was Sobieski. This Blue Ox is her new vodka. Less marketing, more savings. I don't often consume vodka; but next time, I know where to go.
So, I checked into Blue Ox. They have whole line o' hootches. Since summer is upon us, I think I'll try their gin. I was just glad there was a company that just attempts to market a goood product, without the marketing BS. Saves money.
Has anyone tried Blue Ox gin?
I'd be interested in any impressions of Blue Ox products some of you may have had.
