Kid-friendly and nut-free Italian dish that tastes good at room temp?

MmeFleiss | Jan 22, 201506:31 PM     35

My son's daycare is having an international night and is asking parents to bring dishes (entree, side, or dessert). My son's room was assigned Italian and I'm drawing up a blank on what to bring.

I was originally thinking dessert so I don't have to worry about serving it warm, but everything I came up with either had nuts or seemed way too adventurous for the kids to enjoy.

If I do an entree, I would prefer not to do something boring like spaghetti and meatballs, but I am willing to make it if it means the kids will actually like it.

Any ideas?
