My friend Daisy Chow is close to opening her own bakery. Here's her dream: "One thing they don’t always tell you about big dreams is how much of pursuing one is just showing up and consistently putting in the work. For over three years, I was baking at both Cutty’s and Clear Flour, all the while searching for just the right space for the bakery I wanted to build.
Why open my own bakery anyway? I want a place where I can get good bread and pastry, and where I know the bakers making my food. I want a place that makes food that I want to eat, in a town where I want to live. I want a place where my employees can have a venue to share their craftsmanship and feel proud of their workplace. I want a neighborhood bakery that’ll be open in all kinds of weather, where no matter what’s going on in the outside world neighbors can come in and get wholesome food to eat. I want a place where I can teach classes, and just geek out with other bakers. To pursue my vision to the fullest, I knew I needed to work for myself. "

She's started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the last funding to finish the build out. Please chip in if you're able.
