KFC in Centreville

After reading last week's food section in the post, I was prompted to try out the new Korean Fried Chicken (KFC...) place in Centreville (13816 Braddock Road, called something like Cheogajip). As the post's article stated, they make all the chickens to order, taking about 15 minutes to do so. They offer three 'finishes'--regular, with spicy sauce, or in a lemon-garlic sauce. I opted for the spicy, which is sort of like Buffalo wings but with a sweeter taste and sesame seeds sprinkled on. The chickens come with a side order of pickled daikon radish, which I felt suited the flavor well.

The chickens survived the ride home pretty well (though there are tables at the place, we opted to eat at home), and they were very tasty. The spice level was very modest (to my palate), and though they provided chopsticks with the chicken, I cannot imagine eating it with anything other than your fingers, the better to lick them afterwards.
