Keur N'Dye: Delicious Ft. Greene Senegalese

I must give back to a site that has given me so much and give my strong recommendation to Keur N'Dye, an excellent Senegalese restaurant on Fulton Ave (b/w S. Portland & S. Elliot).

I haven't had a chance to try the full range of the menu, but the Mafe (a peanut sauce) makes for a great marriage with lamb, and the Grilled Talapia in a Red Chili sauce was excellent.

Make sure to order the ginger drink to arrive with your meal and let the ice melt a bit so that the ginger has just the right subtlety.

At $9-11 for most main courses, you really can't go wrong, and the atmosphere is great.

Service is friendly but can be a bit slow, so plan accordingly if you're planning a meal before a show/movie at BAM.

(Also, if you're in Harlem, make sure you stop at La Marmite, another excellent and inexpensive 24-7 Senegalese restaurant on Frederick Douglas Blvd aka 8th Ave, b/w 120th and 121st. Try the gigot, whole fish or chicken brochette with spicy brown rice or couscous and you will not be disappointed.)
