Kervan (Cliffside Park): Am I Missing Something?

After a great experience tasting Lebanese shwarma at Karam Restaurant in Brooklyn, I made the trip to Cliffside Park prepared for something really special.

No value at Kervan. While the eggplant salad($4.50) appetizer was very good, the portion was small. At $14, I expected the Iskender Kabob to be a huge feast. Boy was I wrong! Simply an open sandwhich served on a plate consisting of about a half dozen small meat pieces, drowned in yogurt mixed with a dollop of tomato sauce. No rice, no vegetables, no salad. Taste was just OK. Adding in the GW bridge toll, this was one heck of an expensive lunch.
