i was at Keon's last night (and most thursday nights) and i feel i must mention how impressed i am with the quality of the plates coming out of this tiny kitchen.
i was able to sample a blackboard special that was really really good. this special was presented on a rectangular plate with two jumbo shrimps with crabmeat stuffing (way more crabmeat than filler), a four ounce filet (cooked perfectly to medium rare), a luvly mashed potato and a nice arrangement of asparagus. i don't remember the price but i have seen dishes like this coming out of boston kitchens in the very high $20s to low $30s. they were also moving a lot of a marscapone ravioli dish that was topped with a very large compliment of lobster. looked really yummy, but i did not get a chance to try.
this place is really worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood, and even if you’re slightly out of the neighborhood.
