I notice that the celebrated restaurant Zaika has been transplanted (from Fulham Road) to 1 Kensington High Street- the site formerly occupied by L'Anis- perhaps they have swapped sites. I think I will have lunch there in the next couple of weeks. I am hoping for a better experience than was had at Tamarind lunch not long ago.
Still on Fulham Road is Restaurant 755 which I visited for the second time a couple of weeks ago, this time for dinner (only two other tables occupied). The meal was very good- roughly the level of one Michelin star restaurants I have been to, and service competent. The dessert was impressive. The toilets are decorated with signed menus from restaurants that the chef had worked at previously (eg Troisgros and Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons). A good find.
Al Dar III on Kensington High Street looks to be on the brink of opening, Al Dar fans will be pleased to hear.
