Kemble Park Tavern - Terrible Service

I swear, I don't normally write terribly negative posts, but my husband and I just had one of the worst experiences ever.

We went tonight for dinner around 7:30 and were seated at a bar table. The place was pretty busy but didn't look slammed. We sat and waited while we got bread and water and then just waited. And waited. And then waited some more.

Several times, we asked for our waiter, who never showed up. There were at least 6 servers running around the place but no one even looked our way. The tables around us were having trouble getting their food and checks sorted out. At one point, a waiter was struggling just to open a bottle of wine. Finally, my husband walked to the bar and asked to order there. The bartender told him just a second, did some other work for a little while and then just left the bar area.

So we left.

Honestly, I just can't understand this. There were tons of servers and bartenders, but no one seemed to be able to get it together. We sat there for at least 30 minutes! And no one even said, "I'll be right with you" or "Someone will be by in a minute" or anything.

I don't know if the food there is any good, but I don't think I'll ever be curious enough to try it again.
