Kebab-House at the Quakertown Farmers Market

I wanted to give some props to a new place for good Chow at the Quakertown Farmers Market, Kebab House

It’s open during normal market hours Friday and Saturday 9 to 9, Sunday 10 to 5.

They’re making grilled kebabs, falafel, baba ganouj, hummus, spinach pies, meat pies… oh yeah, they’ve taken the advice of the previous vendor and they’re also serving bbq pork and hot dogs…

I had the falafel and it had great texture, crispy on the outside and not mushy on the inside, the pita was warm and soft and it came with the salad already dressed on it. it was REALLY Good! I was planning on eating half, just to sate my pangs and wound up devouring the entire thing, (well, two bites of empty pita were left)

I got to talking to one of the two young men and learned that they’re Syrian and they’re serving the food they grew up with… and it is tasty! I took home some baba ganouj and it was quite delicious too! These “kids” (if go and see them you’ll get what I’m saying they really are young!) understand good food.

It’s not much to look at right now, there’s plans for decorations and there will probably be a few menu revisions (like getting rid of the hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches) but I’d highly recommend giving them a try if you’re up in that neck of the woods!

(next weekend, I’m going for one of the kebabs, I’ll let you know how that goes)
