Kebab and Curry: review

ErstwhileEditor | Apr 11, 2004 10:04 AM

Well, daughter decided she REALLY didn't want to go to Apsara Palace in Friday, and she MIGHT deign to eat Indian food. We ended up at Kebab and Curry on Thayer St. I have to say I thought it was pretty mediocre--that based on edible but fairly insipid Chicken Tikka Masala (daughter's favorite), suboptimal tasting Lamb Saag (with tough meat), and undistinguished Navratan Korma. The naan was truly poor--more like a slightly warmed pita than the lovely naans I am used to. The mango lassi was a bit more tart than usual, which is not necessarily bad, and not as unctuous as some. The tragedy of this all is that we walked by Asian Paradise, which looked interesting to ME. Couldn't tell whether there was anything my daughter would have been satisfied with though.
